Multi-platform Media Account Manager

Rogers Communications, Media (Calgary) (July 2013 – May 2015)

As a highly motivated, creative and dynamic account manager for Rogers Media, I focused on the Calgary properties; 96.9 Jack FM, 95.9 KiSS FM, 660News, Mountain FM, Sportsnet960, Sportsnet Calgary Flames Radio, Citytv, and Omni. I provided consultation and comprehensive multimedia marketing solutions to help businesses grow. I delivered the best in class customer service to new and existing clients in a professional manner consistent with the Rogers values. From small, medium to large business – I created innovative, revenue generating campaigns.

 

Accomplishments:

 

  • Drive incremental revenue across platform of Rogers Media brands through growth of existing relationships and development of new 

  • Portfolio of 90 plus high profile clients

  •  Service client base (Senior & Junior decision makers) in a professional manner consistent with Rogers values -radio, TV, digital, social media, publishing, and events

  •  Present innovative call to action and brand awareness opportunities to small, medium and large business

  •  Analytical reporting, budget forecasting

  •  Provided creative solutions including, but are not limited to, all aspects of branding, multi-platform promotion, social media, event marketing, radio and print applications.

  • Hosted clients and contest winners on station tours, at concerts and events, for lunch/dinner meetings, Calgary Flames games including behind the scenes tours of the Hot Stove Lounge/Dressing Rooms/Sky-walk

  • ​Accepted awards on behalf of clients to Rogers Media 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinated with traffic teams to ensure all required elements are received for timely turnaround for log generation

  • Prospected and developed new business clients – cold calls, networking, email, leads

  • Worked constructively with other departments essential to grow our business, including but not limited to Revenue Management, Commercial Traffic, Sales Promotions, Accounting, Digital and Commercial Production.

  • Worked collaboratively with other team members, establishing a positive solution-focused forum to continuously learn and grow together.

  • Managed all aspects of the client relationship - selling, contracts, collections

  • Investigated and negotiated all requests for credits to retain revenue wherever possible.

  • Responded to client requests for accountability using a combination of software tools and internal departments available providing client/market intelligence to best position Rogers Television/Radio stations.

  • Determine timelines with the clients and service groups – this will include working with internal teams and external vendors to establish work back schedules.

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your client’s need.

  • Responsible for developing strong relationships with assigned clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.

  • Develop a trusted adviser relationship with key client stakeholders and executive sponsors.

  • Collaborate with assigned project managers to ensure the timely and successful delivery of creative solutions according to client needs and objectives.

  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Communicate clearly financial projections for both individual projects and fiscal overview.

  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.

  • Define program objectives and deliverables with client.
